FAQ's

Q:  What do you mean by “Indoor/Outdoor” Runs?

A:  Each dog, or family of dogs, has their own private indoor space, and outdoor space.  They have access to their entire run throughout the day during.  However, at night and during inclement weather, they are secured inside where it is temperature controlled.

Q:  Where does my dog potty if they don’t get a playtime?

A:  Most of the dogs learn very quickly that they do their business on the outside portion of their run.  We fully sanitize inside and out of our facility twice daily.  Also, we keep a kennel staff on site during all business hours to clean up the inevitable messes in between the two sanitizing times.  If your dog is scheduled for regular playtimes, they do get accustomed to waiting till they can relieve themselves in the grassy area.

Q:  Can I bring my pet’s toys or bedding?

A:  Everyday, we launder, dry and give back fresh beds, bedding, toys, and bowls.  It is impossible to keep up the level of sanitization if you introduce outside objects.

Q:  Can I bring my pet’s food?

A:  Pedigree Small Bites is provided for all of our guests.  You are more than welcome to bring your pet’s food.  We just ask that it’s pre-bagged per meal and to only bring enough for your pet’s stay.  If the diet must enter out kitchen for storing, mixing, or measuring, there will be a $0.50 per feeding charge.

Q:  Can I bring the records when I drop off my pet(s)?

A:   We do require the vaccination records to arrive before your pet’s check-in date.  This ensures that everything is current and if there is anything missing, gives you time to get it taken care of.  You are also welcome to have your veterinarian fax these records over directly.

Q:  My pet has medication. Is that ok?

A:  Medication is no problem.  We will have you fill out a medication sheet advising us on dosages and schedule.

Q:  Why does my pet need a flea and tick treatment?

A:  Every pet that enters our kennel is required to have a topical flea and tick preventative.  This is only a precaution that your pet doesn’t come in with or leave with any unwanted pests.  If you would like to provide your own, we must see it applied.

Q:  Is someone there all the time?

A:  We do have an onsite caretaker that comes down at night to ensure all of our pets are safe and secure and the facility is locked up.

Q: Do you have breed restrictions?

A: We accept all breeds for boarding and grooming.  However, if your dog is part or full Pitt Bull, Shar Pei, or Chow Chow they can only play with dogs that are from the same family.

Q: What if my dog is people aggressive?

A: We accept ALL dogs.  Due to our indoor/outdoor setup, we are capable of providing clean beds, toys, bowls, and a sanitary environment without having to place our hands on the dog.  In certain situations, we do ask the owner to walk the dog back to ensure the safety of our staff as well as the dog.

Q: What happens in the event my pet gets sick during boarding?

A: If your pet becomes ill while they're staying with us, we always try to contact the owner first. If we cannot reach the owner we then attempt to call the emergency contact. If your pet needs emergency care and we can't communicate with either the owner or the emergency contact, we will call the veterinarian and provide the necessary care.
